Streamlined Process & System for UOT Course Billing

Toyota Motor Sales’ Business & Financial Planning department handled back-office billing functions for the University of Toyota, which offered online training to Dealers in North America. The process that the finance department underwent to obtain billing-related information from the CERTPOINT VLS learning management system every month was extremely convoluted and cumbersome. The assignment was to streamline this process, automating each manual step, and create a direct integration between the CERTPOINT system, course pricing tables and a PeopleSoft Billing module. The requirements document outlined current state, desired state, system requirements, use cases, and wireframes for each screen. The project, after it was implemented, reduced man-hours by over 70% and completely reduced system errors.
